Jerry has always preferred to fabricate much of his equipment himself (with the help of his employees). He says it is then built the way he needs it to work for the specific job he's working on. Fabricating this rigging boom was no exception to his love of building all things mechanical. Jerry and our crews have built everything from rigging skates to full blown trailers and more. This particular boom was built to move and load a 30' sodering machine into a box trailer for Thermo Fisher Scientific when they closed down their Two Rivers, Wisconsin plant. The company wanted to ship it whole, without dismantling it. This boom has extra prongs on the side for additional safety strapping to hold the machine and it also held an additional extension that allowed it to extend even further.
That's our semi in the background.
